Dr. John Scherger graduated from
Western States Chiropractic College
in 1977. His interest in training dates back to the late 1960's
where
he worked as a fitness instructor for the old European Health
Clubs.
He also credits his ability to look at the mechanics of how
things are built and work to his experience in the construction
industry in nuclear plants and oil refineries rigging loads
with cranes.
Dr. John Scherger, D.C., clinic and academic director, drew
upon his chiropractic education, input from many professionals
and personal experience having taken and analyzed over 40,000
spinal X-rays to complete the spinal biomechanical study courses.
See our testimonial section for a sample of some of the professionals
that have contributed to our academic work.
His exhaustive and revoltionary mathematical proofs of biomechanical
engineering led in 1986 to the only method patent in the world
for training the spine for the adaptation of the S-shape posture.
It is U.S. Patent Number 4686968.
It was accepted for patenting by the European common market,
Japan, Canada and Australia.
He has also developed several different pieces of equipment
and methods of training and treating the spine. These includes
robotic iso-kinetic, kinetic weight stack and durable medical
devices for home training programs (which were also patented).
The equipment began implementation in 1987 by prestigious sports
programs including the New England Patriots Football team and
the U.S. Olympic Sports Medicine and Research Center in Colorado
Springs, Colorado. Training and treatment supplies (as you see
on this website) were purchased and used by the New England
Patriots Training Staff in 2002, their Super Bowl Season.
When the New York Giants won their more recent Super Bowl, a
look at their staff revealed a former trainer for the new England
Patriots - one who was familiar and utilized the strength conditioning
tactics and strategies taught by Dr. Scherger.
Dr. Scherger has also written the world's only mathematical
course, based on lever system analysis, demonstrating the rationale
for human spinal development in Earth's gravity and training
and treatment of the human spine for the restoration, preservation
and enhancement of the proper adult S-shape. The first course
has gone through extensive peer review by the U.S. National
Strength and Conditioning Association. Our second course is
currently in peer review. The course (at this time the first
one only) is certified for post-graduate accreditation for 2
CEUs or 20 contact hours.
Dr. Scherger is also a consultant for the State
of Washington Industrial Insurance Commission.
Family health concerns have caused Dr. Scherger to
retire from full time clinical practice, yet his courses
remain available for students, trainers, and other
professionals in the medical field.
His goals and interests now are to help others
understand not only the How and Why of the spine
and it's function, but to take the journey toward
learning it's design, origin, and creation.
These projects require funding,
just as they require individuals who
can share in this piece of History.
Be a part of the Journey,
and Donate what you can.
We appreciate you,
and thank you in advance!
